About the Termite a/k/a Pest Inspection, Wood-Destroying Insect (WDI) Certificate
What – Inspection for activity and/or damage from the presence of any and all wood-destroying insects. Termites, Powder Post Beetles, Carpenter Ants and Carpenter Bees all destroy wood.
Who – All buyers and sellers of any home that is not brand new should request this inspection. Condos that are not on the ground floor usually do not require a Certificate.

– Your mortgage company will require a clear Certificate.
– The sellers usually agree to repair and treat before you purchase.

– A clear Cert is a one-year warranty from the pest company that issues it.
